Very friendly staff makes you feel like home.the receptionist was a sweetheart. We opened our room to find a happy anniversary cake which was such a lovely gesture. Thanks to all the staff and will definitely go there again.

Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Nice rooftop breakfast. The location was also great, right in the center of everything and next to the bay.

Luxurious hotel that feels as if you have stepped back in time.

The hotel is beautiful and feels like you have stepped back in time. Feels like a royal, luxurious holiday in the early 1900's. The rooms were really clean, the Sky View restaurant was amazing and the staff were all lovely.

Unfortunately my shower head was broken and the water took a long time to heat up. There was a lot of street noise staying in the rooms without sea view, but that's just Egypt.

Amazing value in a beautiful historic hotel

It was a beautiful historic hotel. The views from the restaurant at breakfast were stunning, and the staff was very attentive. The price is fantastic, and the location is great. It’s walking distance to the Library of Alexandria, even closer to the train and bus stations, and a short Uber to Qaitbay, Pompeii’s Pillar, and all the other major sites.

The noise from the street was loud, but I would expect that to be an issue anywhere in Alexandria because it’s a 24/7 kind of city. Other than that, I really have no complaints. I couldn’t believe the value of this place!

Beautiful Alexandria hotel with amazing staff

I loved the feeling of being in a hotel that captures the history of Alexandria. The decor is stunning and the view from the breakfast room has a wonderful view of the Mediterranean. All the staff were amazing, particularly Bassant on reception who went out of her way to make my stay special. I miss it and hope to return and stay again.

I would like to clarify when the guest who works in the hotel industry is more interested in him, even if the price of the room is higher, knowing that the room where the number 419 was located and the carpet (carpet) located in it burned in a striking way, giving the impression after the cleanliness of the room. I also think about the water in the shower, which breaks off and separates the water from the top of the shower and wait for the water to grow. I have worked for more than 34 years in hotels. the AC was not working in the room, I went out 8pm, before I...

the AC was not working in the room, I went out 8pm, before I leave I informed the reception about that, they told me they will send someone to fix it. When I came back at 10:30pm I asked them if they fix it they replay yes. When I went to my room I found they did not fix it, so I called the reception and told them, they send two maintenance guys to fix it, they spend more than hour and was not able to fix it, I asked the reception to move me to another room because I have conference to attend next morning, but they said they are close to fix it. half an hour later I went down to the reception and I asked to move me to another room, the hotel manager was there and he agreed to move me, I did not had enough sleep that night because of that, and I was not fully alert at the conference accordingly.

I do not suggest anyone to this hotel and i will never go back.

This hotel should not be recommended in Booking.com. One of the worse 4 stars hotel I have ever stayed in the past 20 years. The hotel is very dirty and services is poor. The toilet were full of fungus( I have take3n pictures) Water was not coming and when we informed for repair, No came in spite they say they would come. There was no hot water and we were told to run water for 5 minutes so that hot water will reach and this was just little warm water. We saved water in a an empty mineral water bottle so we can wash. Please remove this hotel from your list.

I must say nothing. This hotel does not rate even 2 stars.

Good but you have to pick your room nicely from the beginning

All stuff were great except the lady receptionist ( Name:Bassant)(was not welcoming ).. Clean hotel.. Very good Manager: Mr Ahmed Fathalah ( Solve problems and helpful ) Nice atmosphere.. Breakfast is so good and the breakfast dinning room is so great location looking on the sea .. stuff members are great.. Location of the hotel is nice but I think next time I’ll pick a location sea view as the side view location is not good at all ( better to close windows all the stay when you pick the side view location ) I recommend to have a sea view room ( excellent ) Very clean Hotel.. Room service is excellent..

Check in ( was not good ) , Booking .com rate is the same as the hotel rate ( no privilege when you book through booking.com ) .. Secondly during checking in I changed my room 2 times ( first time : the room Aircondition was not working , second time after the hotel stuff change my room : they gave me a very small room that you hardly move in where the small mini bar was not fitting the room so they put the mini bar inside the closet , but finally after I complained and I told them that I will move away and I need to refund my money , the General Manager Ahmed Fathalah met me and he listened to my comment kindly and gave me the comfort room with same location side view but with the good measurement.. Really he is a good manager and he ends the problem nicely that makes me forget about the problem of the check in .. The hot water in pipes is not good ( very low quantity ( hardly bath) , also color of the water is yellowish a bit ( I don’t know if this a problem of the hotel only or all Alexandria , I cannot judge ) Advice : may be the hotel need another extra elevator as there is only one , you took time to pick it. No parking ( but there is a parking beside the hotel but so expensive value if you gonna leave your car for a stay) No Bath-jacket after shower .

I like the hotel itself with the historical touches on the design and decoration

I think bathrooms and windows want more maintenance and need to be changed as the windows are not safe they didnt locked well

Nothing ... it's horrible

Poor customer services skill, not worth even 10 USD for this hotel. No hotel water in the room and a.c. didn't work. They didn't have vacant rooms and I wasn't compensated

Triple check the price before booking

The hotel is attracting customers by not including the VAT + service tax in the final price and then charges non-Egyptian customers with additional charges (amount mentioned nowhere in the confirmation email). I ended up paying 55% more than the price advertised. Unprofessional and unfair when other hotels in Egypt and on Booking.com have the honesty to mention the final price

The staff are very nice and helpful..the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable..the location is great in the middle of everything..the breakfast is good

Our toilet condition was broken and we asked for fix..each day they say fixed and it is not..only last day was working
